Ensuring Safe Matches

Mirror Match matchmakers are well-versed in arranging first dates that are enjoyable and conducive to exploring chemistry. Safety and well-being are paramount in these arrangements.

-
Your matchmaker will never arrange a meeting at a secluded or remote location. If your match insists on changing locations to an isolated spot or suggests moving the date to their residence prematurely, end the date and inform your matchmaker.
-
Your personal boundaries regarding alcohol consumption are important. Don't allow your match to pressure you into anything you're uncomfortable with. If your date pushes you to consume alcohol beyond your comfort level, end the date.
-
Always keep an eye on your personal belongings.
-
For transportation, use a ride-share service or drive yourself to and from venues for the freedom to leave whenever you wish.
-
Share your plans with a friend or family member, including details about your location, companion, and expected return time. If plans change, inform them promptly.
-
Consider using the location-sharing feature on your smartphone to share your whereabouts with a trusted person.
-
Exercise caution about revealing too many personal details during a first interaction/meeting. It's fine to take things gradually.
-
Ensure your mobile phone is fully charged and keep it with you at all times.
-
Trust your instincts. If a situation feels uncomfortable, don't hesitate to call a friend or seek help from staff. You have the right to leave the date immediately if you're uncomfortable.
-
Safeguard your personal information (phone number, email, address, etc.) and avoid sharing it with strangers.
-
Limit communication to email or text through the service until you're comfortable sharing personal contact information.

General Safety Guidelines
-
Never share sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, credit card details, or bank information, with anyone, regardless of their reasons. Under no circumstances should you send money or financial information online. If another Mirror Match user requests money from you, report it to us immediately.
-
Refrain from disclosing your home or work address prematurely.
-
Ensure family members or friends do NOT contact matches.
-
Do not share/offer profiles of matches made for you to others.
-
All in-person activities must be consensual. Clear communication helps establish boundaries and respects each other's limits.
Kindly report any violations of our Mirror Match terms to our team. This includes inappropriate behavior in person or online, offensive messages, or solicitations for money or donations. You can reach us at Dhruv@mirrormatch.com.
